Activity Stream and Daily Notifications

After December of 2019, Blackboard has a feature where it emails you Daily Notifications about new or changed content or upcoming dates related to your Bb Learn course section.

If you wish to reduce or alter what email notifications you get, here's how.

  1. Go back to home page or "Institution Page" in Bb Learn.
    - Or just login to Bb Learn at "https://learn.dcollege.net" and click "Sign In Standard."
  2. Click Activity Stream in left navigation > gear icon in upper right > mail envelope icon in right panel.
  3. Select Email me once a day.
  4. Uncheck all items.
  5. Click Save.

To modify any other notifications sent by Bb Learn, including Push and many noticies sent within Bb Learn:

  1. Go back to home page or "Institution Page" in Bb Learn.
    - Or just login to Bb Learn at "https://learn.dcollege.net" and click "Sign In Standard."
  2. Click Activity Stream in left navigation > gear icon in upper right.
  3. Choose the tab in the right panel for the notifications that you wish to edit.
  4. Check or uncheck what notifications you want or do not want, respectively.
  5. Click Save.

Also, if you are still getting emails, try all of the above again.

And for instructors, if you still have issues, also modify the Retention Center, a little-used feature in Bb Learn, though not overly helpful for the work involved..

  1. Enter your Bb Learn course section.
  2. Click Grade Center in left navigation > Retention Center > Customize.
  3. Click box to select all Rules or Risks.
  4. Click Delete, and then OK to Confirm.
