Bb Learn Discussion Boards -- Ordering Forums on the Forums Page

Introduction

Here is how you can order forums on Bb Learn discussion board forums page.

If you do not know how to get to the Bb Learn discussion board forums page shown in the screenshots below, let us know.

Usability Issue If You Sort Alphabetically First

If you click the triangle next to the "Forum" column header that is circled in the screenshot below, you will only temporarily sort items on the page alphabetically in descending or ascending order. This sort order only appears to you for as long as you are logged into Bb Learn, and it can cause confusion if you order forums using the next method and then refresh the page, as the forums will again appear in alphabetical order again rather than the order you set using the next method.

If you run into this issue, log out and log back in, and don't sort the forums again alphabetically.

If not, log out again of Bb Learn again in every internet browser you have open, close every open internet browser window you have open, wait 30 seconds, and then open an internet browser, log into Bb Learn again, and see if the problem persists.

Change Forum Order Non-Alphabetically

If you want specific items to appear in a specific order aside from ascending or descending order, do the following:

  1. Click the up-down arrow on the Bb Learn discussion board forums page that is circled in the screenshot below.

  2. In the "Reorder: Forums" pop-up window that appears, click on a particular item you want to move up or down in the order of the page. 
       (a) You may need to scroll up or down in the window to see additional items.
  3. Click the uparrow.png or downarrow.png arrows to move the selected item up or down in the shown in the "Reorder: Forums" pop-up window.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have all the items in the desired order.
  5. Click "Submit."
  6. Click "OK."
