CCIREPO Shared File Server

CCI faculty and professional staff should use OneDrive for personal storage of Drexel files, and use ccirepo shared (covered here) for finalized policy or procedure or archival documents that other faculty and pro staff may need to refer to later.

Instructions

Try the instructions below, and if they fail, contact ihelp@drexel.edu already with a brief description of the issue, if you have not already done so.

Windows

  1. Connect to Drexel VPN first, if off-campus or off Drexel network (2nd floor Quorum and such).
    See VPN
  2. Click Start menu.
  3. Type "This PC" in search menu (without quotes).
  4. Click "Map network drive." under the Computer tab
    No "Map network drive" available? Click down arrow next to ? Icon in upper right. Select Computer tab.
  5. Choose S for drive letter, or an unused drive letter.
  6. Enter folder "File Path" in "Folder" text box.
  7. Shared CCI repo "File Path" on Windows is

    \\ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu\shared

    Do NOT use \\ccirepo\shared .

    For others, see"File Paths" section below.

  8. Check reconnect at login.
  9. Check connect using different credentials
  10. Click Finish.
  11. Click "More choices." Then "Use a different account."
  12. Enter "User name" as: DREXEL\userid
    Example: DREXEL\mjg88
  13. Enter "Password" as DrexelOne password.
  14. Check Remember my credentials
  15. Click "OK."

Mac

  1. Connect to Drexel VPN first, if off-campus or off Drexel network (2nd floor Quorum and such).
    See VPN
  2. Click computer display background.
    Finder menu should appear in upper left.
  3. Click "Go" > "Connect to Server".
    (Optional: Skip steps 2 & 3 with shortcut key combo: Cmd+k ).
  4. Enter file path from below.
    smb://ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu/shared
  5. If you are prompted to enter your username and password you must use the following format: DREXEL\userid

Linux

  1. Connect to Drexel VPN first, if off-campus.
    See VPN
  2. Connect to server or network share (Google this, if necessary).
  3. Click "Files."
  4. Click "Connect to Server." 
  5. Then enter correct file path from below.
    smb://ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu/shared
  6. If you are prompted to enter your username and password you must use the following format: DREXEL\userid

The following are the file paths to use when configuring access.

Shared

  • Windows: \\ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu\shared\
  • Mac or Linux: smb://ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu/shared

CCI Logos & Other Templates

  • All CCI Logos and Drexel Logos can be found here https://drexel.edu/identity/drexel/logos
  • CCI Templates can be found in the directories below.  We recommend navigating to the directory once you are connected to the Shared directory.
     
    Windows: \\ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu\shared\CCI General Information and Resources\CCI Templates

    Linux/MAC: smb://ccirepo.cci.drexel.edu/shared/CCI General Information and Resources/CCI Templates

If login issues:

  • At login prompt, use DREXEL\ in userid field before your userid.
    • 1st example: DREXEL\abc123
    • 2nd example: DREXEL\mjg88

TROUBLESHOOTING

MULTIPLE USERS ON A SINGLE COMPUTER?

  • You MAY need to reboot the machine before a different user can access a shared drive folder in the same folder path or mapped drive.
