Settings DNS settings to Default or Flushing DNS cache to fix Dragonfly3 Connectivity Issues
Setting IPV4 properties to obtain DNS server automtically on Windows:
- Do a search in bottom Windows Taskbar for -- and open-- Windows Control Panel
- Navigate to All Control Panel Items - > Network And Sharing Center.
- Click on the blue highlighted Connection hyperlink you see, 'Ethernet' as shown above
- This will open a pop-up shown your connection Status.
- Click on Properties, which will Open another pop-up showing the Network Properties.
- In the list of items shown in the Pop-up, click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPV4) and select Properties.
- This will open IPV4 Properties.
- Make sure you have the Obtain DNS server address automatically option selection and not the other checkbox.
Flushing DNS cache on Windows
Sometimes you will need to flush/delete DNS cache on your device to help with connection to Dragonfly3
- Open Command Prompt
- Type in the command 'ipconfig/release' and press Enter.
- Then Type in the command 'ipconfig/renew' and press Enter
- Then Type 'ipconfig/flushdns' and press Enter.
- Restart your device once all these commands are executed.
Flushing DNS cache on Mac
- In your Mac, open the Terminal.
- Type in the following command 'sudo dscacheutil -flushcache' and press Enter
- Then type in the command 'sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder' and press Enter
- This should clear your DNS cache on Mac and should allow you to connect to Dragonfly3.
