Access to Drexel Connect, MFA Help, Password Reset, and MFA Reset

Most anyone at Drexel can reset their password (not the same as MFA reset) at:

  • https://drexel.edu/it/help/a-z/password-self-service/
  • You need to be logged in already to your Drexel account in some web browser.

  • TEST that you actually KNOW your password. Open up a private or incognito window in your web browser or try a different web browser and visit https://connect.drexel.edu . If neither your old or what you thought your new passwords work, follow the procedure below if you have Account or MFA or Drexel Connect issues.

If you are still having trouble with your Microsoft Account or Drexel Connect or MFA or 2FA or 2SV or the text message or voice mail codes for login, or Authenticator app approval notifications for logins...

(and you already unlocked your phone, opened the Authenticator app, tapped the account in question and/or tried the options for refreshing or checking for notifications, including swiping down the main area with your finger)...

Please call 215-895-2020 during 9am to 4:00pm Eastern Standard Time Monday - Friday (not on holidays or breaks).

  • During hours, press 2 then 1 at the audio prompts
  • After hours, press 2 then 2 at the audio prompts.
    • This will allow you to access Blackboard Learn assistants, which may or may not be able to help.
    • They usually do a password reset at best.

Add a second MFA device if your primary device currently does not work

If you still can access in a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, etc) DrexelOne (one.drexel.edu) or Bb Learn (learn.drexel.edu) or Outlook (outlook.office.com) webmail...

or you are still connected on the Drexel Connect (connect.drexel.edu) webpage in one of those web browsers...

Mobile or cellphone or Android or iPhone or iPad or ChromeOS/Chromebook browsers should work for this too, but may be tougher to navigate, so you may want to use Desktop view.

Check your initials or profile pic in upper right and make sure it's your Drexel account that appears.

Then you should be able to try and add or change your MFA method.

Add an MFA method and make sure it works BEFORE removing an MFA method and BEFORE attempting to change your primary or currently-at-present-only MFA method.
