Sync Issues
If your installed Outlook application or program is showing sync errors, or an error with being unable to download an attachment for an email, try the following.
Skip below the steps below if you are trying to open an attachment, rather than the delete the email with the attachment.
- If you have not already, enter Outlook in a web browser
- Visit https://outlook.office.com
- Login with DrexelOne user email (or example, Mike Galloway's is mjg88@drexel.edu ) & DrexelOne password.
- Search there for the email with the sync issue or inability to download attachment from.
- If found, delete the email.
- If you use the “Other” tab with a “Focused Inbox,” delete what you do not need.
- Search here as well for the email with the sync issue or inability to download attachment from.
- If too much email in the “Other” tab to sort through, that’s okay for now.
- Found or not, delete all or as much as possible from “Trash” and “Junk” and “Clutter” and “Deleted Items” folders.
- You may not have 1 or more of these folders.
- Right-click or control-click a folder, then select empty the folder or delete item(s).
- Exit Outlook.
- Then open up Outlook on other computers or mobile devices where you have Outlook installed.
- Perform steps 2-6 above in Outlook on each computer or device.
- Leave Outlook open for 30 minutes or so on each computer or device, so that it fully syncs.
- If the issue persists, then I’d recommend deleting and re-adding your account in Outlook on each computer or mobile device.
- Contact us if you need additional assistance with this. See bottom of this webpage.

The work-around solution is to forward the email with attachment to yourself.
But first and before sending, you completely remove all content from the message body.
