Qualtrics Use with Drexel CCI Students - Alternative or Work-Around Solution

Drexel Connect Authentication for Qualtrics Surveys

Try the Non-Work-Around Solution First

We recommend the Non-Work-Around Solution first.

For the Non-Work-Around Solution, see link below.

In the unlikely event you cannot use the non-work-around solution above, proceed with instructions below.

Written Instructions

  1. First try to create a Qualtrics Survey on your own.
  2. Go to DrexelOne at https://one.drexel.edu -> Login -> Click “CAMPUS+COMMUNITY.”
  3. Scroll down & look under the right “Technology Services” section.
  4. Click “Qualtrics” there.
  5. If asked if you have an existing account, click or choose the “No” option.
    Click “Submit” or whatever to proceed.
  6. Click “Projects” in upper right. -> Create a new “Project.”
  7. Click “Survey.”

Notes: If you cannot do that, check for an email from your professor, or from Qualtrics, that contains a “Collaboration” code. If you have such an email already, then use the numbered set of instructions at the bottom here regarding how to *enter the “Collaboration Code.”* Check Inbox (Focused and Other, if you use that), Deleted Items or Trash or Recycle Bin, Spam or Junk email folders.

If you do not have such an email, *then* your professor *first* needs to create & share a new Qualtrics Project that is a Survey with you and other group members, and your professor will need to do this for each student group. Instructions for this are below.

Students traditionally do *not* have access to use “Qualtrics.” So I’m not expecting the above to work, so if above doesn’t work, your professor should do the steps in the below section, and share that Qualtrics Project that is a Survey with your group. And *then* each student in a group should follow the instructions in how to *enter the “Collaboration Code”* section below.If the *first try to create a Qualtrics Survey on your own* section above does not work for you, and you do *not* have a “Collaboration Code” email.

Then your professor needs to *create and share a Qualtrics Project Survey*.

Instructions for the Professor

  1. Go to DrexelOne at https://one.drexel.edu -> Login -> Click “CAMPUS+COMMUNITY.”

  5. Make up some dummy question and type it into Q1’s “Click to write question text” area.
  6. Make up some dummy responses to the above question in the “Click to write Choice #” options provided.

  8. Click “Projects” link in upper right. -> Click the … or ellipsis icon for your new survey.
  9. Click “Collaborate.”
    Type in Drexel email addresses (short-form ones, preferable, but what you will) for the students in the group who need access.
    Click “Save.”
  10. The students will get a “Collaboration Code” email.
    They should *ONLY* copy the code in the email.
  11. Then *each student* should follow the steps in the section below to *enter the “Collaboration Code.”*
  12. Once your professor does the above section’s steps, you all should get an email with a “Collaboration Code.”
  13. Do NOT click anything in that email.
  14. ONLY copy the “Collaboration Code” for use in the next steps.
    It will NOT be the same code shown in the Drexel CCI tutorial video on this.
  15. Now, go to DrexelOne at https://one.drexel.edu -> Login -> Click “CAMPUS+COMMUNITY.”
    Scroll down & look under the right “Technology Services” section.
    Click “Qualtrics” there.
  16. If asked if you have an existing account, click or choose the “No” option.
    Click “Submit” or whatever to proceed.
  17. Click “Projects” in upper right.
  18. Create a new “Project.”
    Whatever type of project you can. Doesn’t matter.
    If you can create a “Survey,” let us know.
    Otherwise, make some Project, just type in “test” & go with default values and settings.
    You will *NOT* use this “Project,” but you need to create a Project first.
  19. Click the folder icon in the upper left.
  20. Click “Shared with me” in left expanded panel.
  21. Click “Accept collaboration” button.
  22. Enter the “Collaboration Code” from the email, and click “Submit.”
  23. If this still does not work, or you have issues, send screenshots of the furthest step you can get.
